Seek Inspiration - Clark Public Utilities Pollinator Garden

Enjoy a walking tour of the multicolor pollinator garden in front of Clark Public Utilities’ downtown Electric Center location. This garden was designed intentionally to include native species to support specialist pollinators that have evolved with our local flora.

You can also take a self-guided tour at one of our other Pollinator Project garden installations. You’ll learn about how the utility is planting healthy pollinator habitats on utility-owned property to support native bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators in our community.

 The Pollinator Project is part of Clark Public Utilities continued commitment to environmental stewardship and using resources responsibly to foster healthy habitats and support native wildlife.

Native Plants Abound: Discover Green Schoolyards - VITA Elementary

VITA Elementary School is one of the many Green Schoolyards in southwest Washington to host native and pollinator beneficial plants. Join ecologist / landscape architect Jane Tesner Kleiner, 2nd grade teacher Dixie Archer and the team from Vancouver's Urban Forestry to talk about improvements at schools to support pollinators. Schools are great locations for adding more nature as they are located throughout our communities, have many areas that could be good locations for plantings and support hands-on project learning across many subject areas. They are also great community building projects Join us for a tour and discussion, as well as take questions about how you can green your schoolyard.
